Gabriel

Hard Red
Released in 2025, Gabriel is the first commercial variety to deliver the use of WSM3 and CMC4; a gene combination providing the most robust resistance to the wheat mosaic virus complex (WSMV + TrimV + HPMV). Gabriel has yielded as good or better than Canvas in most geographies tested, with very good straw strength for irrigation and high rainfall zones, good test weight and protein, and functional end use quality. This variety has a medium long coleoptile with acid soil tolerance, medium plant height and harvest maturity. PVP protected, SINGLE SEASON USE, no saved seed allowed until harvest 2030.
